Here's your *inexpensive* holiday date night surprise.

No matter what you celebrate around this time of year, no one can disagree that we love seeing the lights, listening to fun music and spending cute evenings together with our friends and love bugs. I've got the perfect, romantic and super inexpensive date night idea for you and that person you're trying to kiss under the missile-toe or just you and a couple of friends having a night together. Luckily for us, this is the time of year where random people love putting up lights and creating displays in their front lawns for all of us bystanders to enjoy, so let's embrace that! Think of it like going to the drive-in over the summer for movies, but this time, we're going to see hundreds, even thousands of lights and inflatable ornament displays matched perfectly with music and even some videos to light up the night.

First thing's first, let's grab dinner! For tonights date night, we're going to be traveling around in the car quite a bit, so maybe you want to have dinner some place where you can sit down, take your time and enjoy the meal, but I say let's grab dinner and go eat while watching some of these displays pop off! Here are a couple of tasty, on-the-go dinner ideas that you can enjoy chowing down on while you're watching some of these holiday displays!

Maria Empanada

• Easy and inexpensive, hand held dinner that won't make a mess in the car. You can grab a couple of these and be full for not much more than $10 each!

Cheba Hut

• Who doesn't love a sub?! Grab a big one to share or a couple of "joints" to switch up the flavors and enjoy.

Pizzeria Locale

• Another classic, pizza! Grab a personal pizza (or two with their online BOGO deals - https://order.thanx.com/pizzerialocale) for $10 - $14 a pop!

Chicken Rebel (Denver, Westmister, Littleton)

• This woman owned chicken spot has your cure for your fried chicken fix. $10 - $14 a meal, and they even have vegan options too, including vegan ranch. We love to see it!

Peter's Chinese Cafe

• Who doesn't love a classic lo mien to enjoy from a box with chop sticks? This run down, definitely sketchy looking from the outside, Chinese spot is to die for! Serving since 1980, despite its outside appearances, this place is voted best Chinese Take-Out in Denver and only $9 - $17 per order (dishes are on the larger side, can definitely be shared).
