"Burn baby, burn", is exactly what your legs will be screaming on the way up this guy, but I promise it doesn't last forever. If you're looking for a challenging trail to go on with great views and lakes to have lunch by at the top, you need to do this hike.
I remember hiking this trail almost two years ago now, and it's just as wonderful as the first time I tackled it. Now, it's definitely a bit demanding, but I promise you the lakes make it all worth it and your body will thank you greatly for getting outside.
*Pro-tip: this trail, and the entire South Boulder Creek Trail, is also fantastic for backpacking and doesn't require permits at the moment - always double check before you plan on going though* backpacking info available here.

Don't forgets! (:
You're going to want extra water, a snack, and possibly bug spray for this hike if you're one who attracts mosquitos more than most.
Don't carve your name into trees, rocks, or literally anything. Nobody really cares you were there.
Always practice Leave No Trace principles when hiking, camping, backpacking or just being out in nature.
Keep those doggo's on a leash or able to recall at all times! Not only are there other dogs out there that aren't dog friendly, but there's a boat load of wildlife out here on these trails and moose love to step on dogs.
Rain jackets are key for staying warm if you get caught in a summer mountain downpour.
